TrackCube 8 – Telematics device

TC 8 was developed specifically to meet the needs of customers in the rail freight industry. Impact-resistant solar cells, high-performance batteries, and efficient energy management ensure reliable, long-term operation, even during the cold and dark winter months.

Transport routes and events are comprehensively tracked, and additional data is collected as needed using wireless sensors. TrackCube 8 complies with all required guidelines, certifications, and rail-specific standards.

Data is transmitted worldwide in an encrypted format and in compliance with current security regulations based on the ITSS industry standard.

From the beginning of the transport, through transport interruptions, to the end of the transport, the exact current transport progress, condition and location are recorded.

Exact mileage calculation

Using a special algorithm developed for rail transport, we calculate the exact kilometers traveled along the rail network.

load detection

The “Full” or “Empty” load statuses are reliably detected with our WS-D1 wireless sensor and enable statements on load-related mileage determination and transparency in wagon management.

TrackCube 8 EX – Monitoring hazardous goods

TrackCube 8 Ex is a certified monitoring and detection system in ATEX-compliant design, developed for reliable use on hazardous goods vehicles such as pressurized gas tank wagons and tank containers.

Thanks to the integrated solar cell, the system is completely self-sufficient and is designed to operate for at least 8 years without any maintenance.

Wireless sensors can be connected via BLE 5.3 and the ITSS IF 2 Lite (IEEE) interface.

Exact mileage calculation

In the mileage calculation developed specifically for rail transport, algorithms take into account curve travel along the rail network and link position reports and information from mapped rail lines for calculation. This makes the plug calculation very accurate and within 1% deviation.

Transport monitoring provides information about the current transport progress and the exact whereabouts and reports the start of the transport, interruptions, continuations and the end of the transport.

shock detection

Shock detection immediately reports the event with the location when limits are exceeded and can also record the shock history for analysis.

TrackCube 7D – Track construction

Especially in this area, a smooth process is enormously important and can lead to considerable delays if misinformation is provided. To prevent these, it is important that the track-laying machines are delivered in the working direction. The TC 7D with work direction detection provides this data quickly, reliably and efficiently. This makes it an essential part of a track construction machine.

The advantage: easy mounting and 100% reliable detection of the working direction.

Thanks to the highly complex algorithms, we can reliably and quickly identify the working direction, even when the machine is stationary!

The working direction and the position of the track construction machine is important information for track construction and must be visible before the machine is delivered. The use of two TC 7Ds and a special measuring algorithm ensures the machine’s working direction even when stationary.

GNSS-Gateway – Public transport – Public transport

GNSS Gateway was specially developed for use on locomotives, taking into account the high electromechanical and electromagnetic requirements of the system solution for locating locomotives in the ESF energy-saving driving mode application area. The system consists of a subrack, a DCDC converter, a GNSS unit (GPS, Galileo, Beidou) and a processor system. Rugged, rail-approved subracks feature a backplane to hold the system assemblies. The cables to the system modules are routed from the front, via the connectors in the front panels.

Verified position data

GNSS Gateway provides verified position data. The GNSS data received is checked, processed and forwarded to external control systems after being corrected for errors.

Plausible data for evaluation

The GNSS data is filtered via the integrated processor system and undergoes several plausibility checks. These software filters ensure that the GNSS data is always of consistent quality (no inaccurate or incorrect data).

A service interface (RS 232) makes it possible to configure the functions of the GNSS module for the respective application.

LTE Gateway – Local public transport – Public transport

LTE Gateway was developed for data communication between control centers and locomotives as well as for internal processing of data.

The focus is on the one hand the exchange of current timetable data and on the other hand the internal provision of data via data interfaces such as Ethernet and IBIS Wagenbus for the passenger information system (FIS).

The LTE gateway communicates with the control center via an LTE/GSM/GPRS/UMTS radio module with a background system.
