is a sensor used on freight cars to detect flat spots.
Installation
Activation via magnetic switch, from the outside of the housing using a permanent magnet.
Flat spot detection
The detection of flat spots on the wheelsets of a rail car is of crucial importance for the safety and reliable operation of the rail transport system. Flat spots can occur due to permanent deformation of the wheel arch and lead to uneven wear of the rails, damage to the track material and increased noise levels during travel. A radio sensor is used to detect and rectify flat spots in good time. It continuously monitors the condition of the wheels during transport and can report any anomalies.

WS-B1/WS-B2
The WS-B1/WS-B2 sensor helps to detect the handbrake position. As a result, applied handbrake positions can be quickly detected and the generation of flat spots on equipped wagons can be tracked and avoided.

Detection of the handbrake position
The WS-B1 sensor detects the handbrake position via the inclination of the handbrake bracket.
The WS-B2 sensor detects the handbrake position via rotation of the handbrake wheel.
